This is for those who don't know how it works. Or a human. I'm sure there is one person who doesn't know how they work. The faucet cover is half an igloo cooler made of styrofoam. There is a rubber loop inside the cooler. The rubber loop is attached to a rubber strip that runs through the foam. You wrap a rubber loop around the faucet and press the open end against the house. Soft foam surrounds the open end to provide a tight seal. Then pull the rubber strip and use the included locking mechanism to lock it firmly. Ready. Now it works like magic. The igloo acts as insulation to keep the cold out. (Or internal heat, actually.) Internal heat comes from the conductivity of both the water and the pipes themselves. The water and pipes in your home are warm. This heat is transferred through the pipe to the tap and is kept inside the igloo by the magic of the igloo's insulation. And then your pipes don't freeze and your wife doesn't cry. A good product. Use it. Don't make your wife cry.
