The simplest, cheapest option. Minor security issues.

First off, this is actually a working UV camera --- inexpensive by any measure, but functional. If you're looking for a simple solution that doesn't cost $200, this is it. However, I have a number of complaints. At first I was surprised that the box wasn't metal or even plastic - it's literally a cardboard box. Longevity concerns are clear here, so think about how much you expect from this item. Second, the way the cardboard folds leaves a large gap for harmful UV light to escape (see my photos). This is easily fixed with enough opaque tape, but it's surprising how poor the design/fit is. Third, there are problems with self-assembly. The biggest problem is that when you unscrew the UV light to reattach it to the box, there is a glass plate that is NOT glued to the lamp. It's very easy to fall and break like I almost did, especially without warning. (The edges of the glass are also not smooth, obviously notched and broken to make room for screws, sharp edges). Also, the mirror panel decals you stick on the box are not the right size and difficult to apply properly even after cutting. Ideally, this step should have been done prior to folding/laminating the box. One last note: the rotating platform does not require batteries - UV lamps are sufficient to keep the solar panels on it running. But it is a good backup.
