It works. Used it on Mac Pro 5.1. Original GPU replaced with AMD Radon RX 580. This card requires 185W. On a Mac Pro 5.1, the PCI slot supplies 75W. Each mini 6-pin also supplies 75W. This cable gives me 225 watts instead of 150 watts, which would not be enough. Would and highly recommend this setup on a Mac Pro 5.1. These new maps consume a lot of energy, better safe than sorry.
