These felt pads are thick--about a 1/4 inch thick, which is really pretty thick for a piece of sticky felt. The key selling points for me were the thickness, the 3M sticky tape, the number of pads in the set, and they come in a plastic box that keeps them organized and tidy. I've had them for about 24 hours now and I have no idea how long they last, but with 3M stickiness I'm very hopeful and with the thickness, I really think they are going to do the job of protecting our floors. And with the box that holds the extras, I'm sure, like 90% sure, that I'll be able to find the extras if any of them fall off.
