Finally a company that has thought of ALL the little things. I realize the bar is set pretty low for most products ranging from crap to half baked, but this one is way up! The overall design of the lamp is amazing! It has a beautiful black powder coating. It's solid and the hinges are very tight so it stays in place well. It has a sleek, minimalist look that I like. The light is BRIGHT but soft (well diffused). It is dimmable and does not flicker. Very pleasing to the eye. The color tone of the light can also be adjusted from cool to warm. In addition to the above things, there are some other things that make this lamp stand out from the rest. Function for ALL settings including power status. Other lamps claim to have memory, but only as long as they have power. This retains all settings even if the device is switched off. I wish more companies would do this. So, with this lamp, if the light is on when the power is turned off, it will light up again when restored, and regardless of the setting it is on (color, brightness, etc.). No other LED bulb I've used will fit. turns back on when power is restored and all settings need to be redone. That gives these lamps a few extra stars! Next the controls; They really put some time into their development. To control brightness and tint, you can press each button briefly to select each of the five different "preset" settings OR you can hold the button down to endlessly select a setting anywhere in the range. It's very cool as it gives you both options, allowing for endless customization and a quick and easy all-in-one. You can position the lamp in almost any possible position. Each joint can be moved to almost any angle, making it extremely versatile. And the fact that it mounts to the edge of the table means it frees up space, and that makes a huge difference to me. Only one hinge is missing: if the lamp head is at right angles to the middle part, you cannot adjust the angle up or down; All they needed was another swipe in the middle section. Not a big deal, but adding this gives you infinite customization. The power button glows red when the lamp is off, making it easy to find in the dark. This display can also be turned on or off if you don't need it. The power cord is actually long enough to be useful (something so few companies pay attention to). I mean, why are you really selling me a table lamp with a cord that's too short to reach an outlet? It's about 6 feet, which is great. All in all, this is the best table lamp I've ever owned. I would highly recommend and feel like it's worth every penny (if not a penny). I'll probably be buying another one soon because I'm pretty sure my wife will want one as soon as she sees mine. Oh, and they also make this lamp in white, which I think she might like more than black.
