I've been using it as my primary monitor for a little over a year and so far it's been fantastic. If you want the color clarity of an IPS panel with a response time of just 4ms, then this monitor is a good choice. Ideal for those who do both gaming and video/editing. Pros: IPS is great for photo/video editing. The colors are bright and clear. The 144Hz refresh and 4ms response time are great for gaming. Oil is smooth - gsync is a plus, although 144Hz makes gsync almost unnecessary - no dead pixels - thin screen bezel; Approximately 6mm thick from the outer edge of the monitor to the start of the pixels. Solid, heavy base with minimal screen shake when I bang the table. Easily adjustable screen positions, rotations. The red feet on the base are not bright/loud like the photo. I was afraid the color would be blood red. You are not. Instead, it's a darker maroon with a muted matte finish. Kinda cool. Hardly noticeable on my dark wooden table. Cons: - $700 price tag can be steep - sound quality from the built-in speaker is poor, but at least it has speakers if you don't already have one. - OSD menu The menu system is cumbersome and frustrating. Not a big deal if you don't often use the menu to switch between display inputs, e.g. B. to switch between PC and game console. Deducted 1/2 star for this - a rare screen defect that causes a vertical "crack" down the center as if a column of pixels is missing. This has only happened a few times in the last year (maybe 5-6 times) and luckily it's easily fixed by simply turning the monitor off and on again. Small issue but worth mentioning. I'm deducting 1/2 star for that. Regarding glare: I see a lot of 1 star reviews due to glare. Does this monitor have a backlight? Yes. did i ever notice Never. The only time I see glare is when the room is 100% dark and the screen is 100% dark, which usually happens when I first turn on the monitor before turning on the PC. As soon as there is pixel movement on the screen, the bleeding disappears. When I watch dark movies or play dark space games, I don't feel anything at all. Can I recommend this monitor? Absolutely. Actually I want another one.
