Right now, 2560 x 1440p (aka "2k") monitors are in a good position if you're looking to upgrade from a 1080p monitor. Graphics cards are powerful enough to support 2k monitors, but still struggle with 4k (i.e. trying to hit 60+ FPS in current games). I've been using it as my primary monitor for a little over a year and so far it's been fantastic. If you want the color clarity of an IPS panel with a response time of just 4ms, then this monitor is a good choice. Ideal for those who do both gaming and video/editing.
