Installation is easy down to the base. The instructions showed where it sticks and how to put it on. It reminds me of a rabbit recipe that starts with "catch the rabbit first." I was afraid of breaking the part so I didn't want to emphasize it too much. It took a lot of effort to put it all together and a bit of experimenting to figure out the technique. I'll probably leave the base when I move. Otherwise, installation was a breeze. Connect the cables and start the computer. My PSU has a monitor output and the 1907 turns on and off with the computer. The picture quality seems great! I have an ATI Radeon X1600 PCI-X graphics card with Vista 64 Home Premium. I had to use the installation CD from the monitor before I could set the native resolution to 1440 x 900 pixels. Icons and graphics are slightly stretched in programs that are not designed for widescreen mode. I hardly noticed. The only issue I had was (was) random screen flickering. The screen goes black for a second or two and then returns to normal. The program is not affected. This happened every few hours on the computer. This was more common on Win 2k, but only once or twice on Vista. I am connected with a DVI cable. This works great for me and is a lot easier to move around than my 88lb CRT!
