I have a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado that has done just over 400,000 miles and the rear end was making an awkward noise when the bearings failed. I decided I needed to restore it and called my local Chevrolet dealer for a quote on the restoration. They quoted me a minimum of $2400.00 depending on what they found so I decided to try it myself because I could buy all the new bearings, bearing assemblies, rings and gears, seals, gear grease and all the tools , which I need for this. less than $2400.00 and that's what I did. About 300 miles into my new diff's break-in period, I noticed the Yukon transmission seal was leaking gear oil, so I bought this seal and put it in my pocket. So far this has been leak proof and I hope it stays that way.
