Review on 🚰 KOHLER GP1068030 Fill Valve Assembly, 1-Pack, Enhanced SEO by Dre Fishburne

The valve seems good, but the fill tube and clamp are NOT included.

This unit is fairly easy to install and works well. I used it on a Kohler K3386 one piece toilet. The previous filling valve had NO filling tube. This new unit has a nipple for a rubber inflation hose, but for some odd reason, neither the hose nor the clamp, both shown in the diagram, were included. I think this new valve is for older fixed toilets, some of which need a fill tube and some don't. My previous valve didn't have a fill tube. If you need a filler hose, you need to drill a hole in the nipple. I think Kohler should assume that if the fill valve you're replacing already has a fill tube and clamp, you can reuse the tube and clamp, but the instructions say nothing about committing an entire hole in the nipple Drill to allow water to pass through the fill tube . . So before ordering that replacement inflation valve, be sure to check that the existing valve you are replacing requires an inflation tube and clamp. If this is the case, prepare to use the old hose and clamp and drill the required hole. My old fill valve (part #84679-AA, model 703) had a copper inlet tube - very solid construction. This replacement inflation valve is made entirely of plastic. When installed, the top of the valve rose above the rim of the tank, but thankfully the cap is recessed, allowing the cap to fit snugly against the tank with no issues. Let's see if the new filling valve lasts as long as the previous one. Much luck!
