Can hollow out your floor!

The nail heads are too small (more like decorative nails than buttons) so the nail head may poke the soft plastic onto the felt surface when you pound your foot. They usually don't protrude enough to be noticeable; They will just sit flush with the surface of the felt, giving you a false sense of security. But the weight of the furniture can compress the felt so much that the head sticks out. So, ironically, when you move furniture, the 'protective' felt pads express your beautiful new hardwood floor!
