Impressions from the box: Perfect aiming and shooting. There might be downsides for serious digital photographers, but for semi-advanced idiots like me, this is the high point. Biggest improvement for me: There is no "shoot the head, get the tail" lag in sport mode. The 15x zoom is great. The video mode works smoothly and looks good. I saw a long and harsh review of the H9 on Revain's website, so I was a bit skeptical. Those who are afraid of expanded color and really need 8 megapixels should check it out. They are amazing. But the main criticism seems to come from those looking for a pro DSLR rather than spot shooting. To me, that's like saying a great family car doesn't look like a sports car. Two different animals. But for my needs, which include multiple shots for posting and web posting, this is an extremely large camera at a reasonable price. The battery works great. The gate is big. One annoyance: I'm not sure if the sound effects can be turned off. A serious problem for wildlife photography. Update. Learn how to turn off the sound in the comments. In addition, after a few months of use, the camera still feels great. Cons: If you have a lens mount when shooting close-ups, the lens mount will cast a shadow as it blocks the flash.
