Review on πŸ”© Washing Machine Anchors: Runningfish Delivers Excellent Drilling Power by Ben Diesel

Not bad for plastic drywall anchors.

I've used a couple of these drywall anchors and also done some "destructive testing" on some of them and compared those tests to some of the other anchors I have. A lot of attention has been paid to their design and that they are well made. They require a 3/8 inch hole to use. The included screws are suitable for attaching material to drywall up to 1/2 inch thick. As with all plastic drywall anchors, you must be careful not to over-tighten the screws. Remember that the screws only screw into the plastic and the plastic needs to have some flexibility. If you overtighten, the threads in the plastic are simply stripped off. I strongly recommend not using a drill/screwdriver and holding the screwdriver with your fingertips, not your fist, when tightening by hand. They have much greater holding power than simple ribbed plastic dowels. If you need more strength, Molly Bolt metal anchors would probably be the next option.
