Have a 1996 Cub Cadet 2155 lawn tractor with mower deck and 2 stage snow blower. Previously used metal chains on the older concrete driveway but have a new concrete drive. Don't want to damage the new concrete with metal chains so wanted try the rubber chains. The last 9 inch snowfall started as freezing rain first so there is ice on the concrete. Traction is bad with the Cub Cadet with bare tires and have been stuck in the driveway. Had more snow today, used the rubber chains with the slippery ice underneath, no loss of traction now or getting stuck, the only negative the rubber chain ride is bouncy so reduced my speed to the minimum but can put up with that. To install jacked up the rear of the lawn tractor so the wheels were free and deflated the tires. Tire size was 20X9-8 with Cub Cadet brand tires, used the tightest link settings inside and out of the rubber chains, worked the chains around the tires evenly and re inflated the tires to 15 lbs, chains tightened up nicely added a short bungy cord across each wheel chain though the bunge cords are probably not needed.
