Louder than desired but easy to replace
Good business model. Once you have the mount installed, the easiest solution is to simply buy an identical device when the first one dies battery and pop it into the old mount. For this reason, judging by other comments, the design of the device has not changed much in the last 5-10 years. For a small apartment the alarm clock sounds a lot louder than it should unless you are hard of hearing.
