Purchased for use in residential and commercial construction. It is currently used by both departments and has worked reliably for both so far, which we don't find typical of test devices. Residential crews have found that the wooden stick locator is the most useful as it finds the center of the stick to place the bolts. Commercial crews preferred him to help locate cables and metal bolts. The only criticism from some of our teams was the need to read instructions, which is an issue for our teams, not a product issue. The few that were confused thought that it would detect voltage on the wiring and they could skip the step of checking that the wiring is not live. He thought the cable was fine, but it's not a voltage sensor. In general, it has stood the test of time, but we will monitor its durability. At current prices this is a good investment for us.
