Good idea. "Loops" are roughly ironed and tied. Half of the sets in my multipack required lubrication and massage to loosen them. I can guarantee a roughly pressed hinge will not outlast my gardeners. I'm glad I ordered a few extras. I will reinforce the stamped hinges with stainless steel hardware as suggested in another review. Also, my drain pipe extensions run six feet from the house. I found it necessary to trim the drain pipe running down the house so the zipper loop would stretch fully and create a proper seal. There is no explanation regarding the included "hook". I think I'll take care of that part. It's not a bad review and it's not a bad product. I wholeheartedly recommend Zip Hinge. As simple as it may seem, take a good look at your project and plan for it. Best of all, Zip Hinge is made in the USA. UPDATE 06/20/2019. If you want to extend your downspout, use the bottom connectors at a 90 degree angle. This should eliminate the need to trim the downtube to get a good angle and seal. My local Gutter guy was able to provide 90s for about $6 each the next day.
