I have several IR thermometers and this one has absolutely the worst ergonomics I've ever seen. The trigger is too high above the grip, so you have to stretch your finger a lot to reach it. And the trigger is tiny and angled to keep your finger slipping off! Some other cons: - poor LCD backlight (NOT "bright" as the description claims) - uses a more expensive 9V battery instead of AA or AAA like some competing devices - slow, with updates of exactly 1 per second . Accuracy is fine. I don't think it's worth the money. You're paying for the name, which sucks because Amprobe isn't considered a top brand anyway. So just buy any of the cheap nameless brands with decent reviews and you'll be better off.
