Review on πŸŒ€ Spectre Performance 9409 Round Aluminum Tube - 3" Diameter, 4" Length by Robert Byrd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good stuff for a homemade SRI

This is really a 3 in 1 test because neither the hose nor the coupler nor the air filter alone would be very useful. I used a 3" x 4" aluminum pipe and red 3" intake sleeve (both from Specter Performance) and an Auto Dynasty open cone air cleaner for a cheap and easy SRI (short intake port). The packaging was good for all .three.The 3x4 tube came in it's own drawstring bag.It was a nice touch.I'll leave the bag.The coupler and clamps came in a clamshell box which is normal for a $9 part The air filter and clamp came in a large box with enough packing pads to sink in. All three were in good condition and matched the photos in the product description. They connect together easily and securely.I didn't have to remove any of them Force connect and none of them were wobbly or sloppy. So all three were sized correctly at 3" for the money. Easy to set up in less time than a frozen pizza that goes in a toaster oven will ride. DIY SRI is a little louder, a little deeper. In no way loud or deep. The car accelerates a little faster when I shift gears. Yes, in the new millennium I will still drive sticks. I think reasonable expectations are important. I knew my hamster wasn't going to be a Hellcat. But when your old putt-putt was just brand new rated at 103hp, the extra 3-4(?) ponies really stand out. Three parts, $28 and slightly more responsive above 2500 rpm. Money well spent. I would definitely buy another Specter Performance or Auto Dynasty product. Excellent return. Frank
