It did an excellent job of keeping three deep cycle batteries charged throughout our 10 day hike. I don't have an inverter so we just used the 12 volt systems in our 5 wheel RV. There was a 3 day period where it was raining and the batteries were down to 50% or less. The solar panels brought them back to full charge the next sunny day. As others have said, the legs are a bit flimsy, but that wasn't an issue and they supported the panels well. When they were as close as I could imagine, perpendicular to the sun, the controller showed 12.2 amps at 14 volts (170 watts). The controller showed a charge even under cloudy skies. I'm happy. They pack light and travel well in a camp motorhome. The lightweight case offers good protection and is easy to use. I cut off the included alligator clips and replaced them with a universal flush mount connector (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GVSY3CA/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1) which I attached to the RV's battery door. Works perfectly! Now I have to make them or buy an extension so I can get them out of the RV's shadow.
