To use need to buy to hook to 1/2"wall pipe- adapter piece- 5/8"M x 1/2"Compression w nut.{AceH]. Then buy for water outlet w yellow off/on 1/2"F x 3/4"m- this piece is on Walmart.Then you can screw on your wash mach hose which is 3/4. Need a "puller" device to remove OLD compression nut on the wall 1/2" pipe. The you can buy hose to fit [same as the wash mach size hose to use the second outlet]. The silver piece does the adaption to wash mach one side only. I gave up too hard, for me as couldn't get the compression NUT off the wall pipe-didn't- want to pull the wall plaster/& water pipe down.Better to get a plumber- at least for me. Took some time to get these parts to adapt that is WHY I am including in this review. Also about other reviews- The manufacter does SAY splitter is FOR WASHING MACHINE ON ADD- WHICH IS TRUE. THERE ARE OTHER SPLITTERS ON AMAZON THAT SAY FOR GARDEN HOSE. Also WASH MACH SPLITTER SAYS its for FOR WASH MACH AND IT DOES FIT FOR UNITED STATES USE. JUST GET THE CORRECT ADAPTER PARTS & IT FITS PERFECTLY. **Was hardto figure out that the splitter at inlet has no stamp that tells you needs 5/8" M x 1/2Comp to wall pipe.
