Review on πŸ”Œ CURT 51110 Venturer Electric Trailer Brake Controller, Time-Delay Function, Black by Shane Loredo

You get what you pay for

This is my second brake controller on the same trailer. The first was a low-level inertia type. I liked it a lot more. While the Curt controller seems to get the job done in normal traffic on my 2000-pound trailer, I'm not sure how it will behave in an emergency braking situation. The instructions regarding the Sync Settings feature are vague; I assume it's the deceleration before the trailer brakes. The instructions also do not state whether the "Synchronization" or "Output" setting is displayed when the brake pedal is pressed. With the extra cable this was easy to install in my 2020 Toyota Tacoma that came with a tow kit and trailer wiring. . If I had to do it all over again I would invest in a trim remover. My biggest complaint has to do with the relaxation of two of the controls. I had to put a piece of tape on them to make sure they stay in place.
