Review on Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM lens, black by Adam Borken-Hagen ᠌

High-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

I have a lot of experience in photography. Studio subject photography. Worked with lenses: 18-55 kit The first version without a stub, it was included on the Canon 20D. The lens survived 2 cameras 20D and 500D and still works. I didn’t like 17-40L at all, I worked on the second penny. I took off my clothes in the layout, when you set a certain focal length and tilt the camera down with the lens (the clothes lie on the floor in the background) and press the sharpness button acomuple of times, the trunk falls out under its own weight changing the focal length. Chromatite as 18-55 whale. Distorts 24-70 4L - I hate trunks 50 1.4 good lens 70-200 4L is good, did not take root on the crop. 100 mm f/2.8 L IS USM Macro My favorite lens, I absolutely love it. EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM For a long time I was looking for the right focal length, high quality and light, and now I found it 24mm STM ! It doesn’t play, it doesn’t stick, it’s sharp, tenacious when adjusting for sharpness, the sound of the focusing motor iscomol. Sharpness at high ISO is amazing Small barrel, no bigger than 17-40L. waiting for Camera RAW for editing. Photos taken with this lens Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM - Photos without processing - jpg, just downloaded from a flash drive aperture at all 2.8 Chromatics are practically NO! Look at the wires! There is no lens profile on the camera, so the camera does notcomrrect distortion, XA and vignette Really dumb HA sometimes appear IN OVERLIGHT PLACE, especially if the same branch or black line is in blur. I had such 1 frame out of 1000.

Pros
  • Very cool, clear and sharp. 6400 ISO on 700 is cool!
Cons
  • Why does everyone write that lathers around the edges - This lens, like all wide-angle ones (IMHO experience of use has shown), cannot be checked for sharpness by taking a picture of a sheet with a scale or a newspaper from a distance of 20cm. A sheet of A4 just fits entirely from a distance of 20 cm. The lens was not created for macro - it is moderately wide-angle ! Half-length, full-length portraits and landscapes is his task Although it is written on it that it focuses from 16 cm and you can really shoot macro from 16 cm, good sharpness at the edges starts from a shooting distance of more than 50 cm. Hence all the negative impressions of unsharp edges. Remove the poster from a distance of a meter and check. Everything is clear and sharp, even in the open. Up to 50 cm - really soap in the corners
