I was hesitant when I first received my blender. I confess I had to relearn where my hand rests on the handle. Having used the Russell and Hobbs blender for over a month I can honestly say I am amazed at its performance. I can whip up a small bowl of cream in under a minute, it does all the tasks you would use for a portable mixer. blender with no problems. It has three speeds, the first of which is slow enough to add flour to the bowl without spilling the flour. Whip cream on level three, and there's also a turbo button if you need extra speed. Having used a nearly 30 year old Black & Decker for years I had no intention of sacrificing speed and this portable blender is a pleasure to use.
