Review on πŸ”’ Master Lock 630D Aluminum Combination Lock with Customizable Settings by Robert Maysey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I have several of these and have for several years. Never had any problems.

I know they're pretty easy to beat, but they're inexpensive and convenient. I have about a dozen of these and have NEVER had issues with unexpected resetting, "auto-locking" or other issues as others have described. We have one on the side gate of our home, and yes, it does need an oil from time to time to keep it smooth, even in mostly dry Southern California. But the three digit combination is easy and quick for our gardener and pool man to use, and the padlock is enough to deter "casual criminals" from searching our garden. Simply use them for the respective application. This will totally overwhelm toddlers and all but the most stubborn but determined little kid for things like paint/chemical cabinets or ammo storage. It becomes completely ineffective against a patient kid (only 1000 combinations) or a smart kid (read how to choose such on the internet), certainly not a teenager. People who hate these locks are just not using them properly.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Having trouble
