Magic. I was crazy enough to decide to clean the popcorn off the ceiling myself (after getting a crazy offer from a painting company). I read a lot on Pinterest and finally realized that I need such a tool. I'm so happy I got it! After wetting the ceiling, this little tool helped me remove popcorn from the ceiling in hard-to-reach places like corners and around the lamp. For large flat areas I used a different one. I'm pretty sure I'll put it to good use when it comes time to level and paint part of the ceiling. If you are planning such a project, do yourself a favor and get it. Here is a before and after photo of the ceiling. The tool itself looks as advertised, which is why I'm not downloading it.
