This test is very easy to use. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Read EVERYTHING before you start so you can prepare and have everything you need to get started. You'll need a clean container (I use a clean glass, which I rinse a few times to make sure there's no soap scum or anything on it) with some water. You will use it to dip some test strips into it. Go ahead and set the timer to start. The tests require a period of time for the strips to dip and wait for them to do their job. All tests provide results within minutes EXCEPT for the E.coli/Bacteria test. For this test, you fill a test tube with water, shake it well to mix the growing medium, and leave it somewhere where no one will disturb you for 48 hours. If the water stays purple it's fine, if it turns yellow you're in trouble. This test allows us to enjoy well water without worrying about contamination. This time around May we paid just under $10 for this test, which was a bit cheaper than many of the other tests available. I noticed today that the price has gone up to about $25.
