Review on XFasten Black Butyl Seal Tape: 30-Foot Leak Proof Putty Tape for RV Repair, Window, Boat Sealing, Glass, and EDPM Rubber Roof Patching by Anthony Cornelius

I used this butyl sealing tape for the first time on an old Ford Ranger windscreen. As for the company that replaced the windshield after it was shattered by a rock, I'm not very happy. Your seal on the driver's side was gone when I drove through a brushless car wash. I was in dire need of a replacement and didn't want to look for an original gasket before winter set in. So I bought this tape and it blended in well and completely blocked the snow and ice that we had this winter season. The glass to metal bond on the Ranger frame was strong and if it comes loose when I go back to the car wash I will have to do another repair. Note: This is definitely sticky stuff. It wouldn't work if it wasn't sticky. But it didn't stick to my fingers when I inserted my fingers into the space between the windshield and the frame. I would try this approach if I had the right "details" on hand. Probably no. I'll look for the right parts, but for now the tape is holding. (This is not resin that sticks to fingers and is difficult to remove from skin, but it's best to wash skin anyway.)
