The product worked perfectly. AFTER adding my original sister board. Your PS4 has two circuit boards if you have an older one like mine. The two cards do not communicate when using the card that came with this new drive. Once you've swapped out the smaller boards, you're done. Really quick fix that saved me a few hundred bucks, my PS4 is quiet and I don't have to soak it to run discs and also that disc read error is gone. The only downside I can think of is that the new drive has some glue on one of the screws which made it a bit difficult to swap out the associated circuit board. Feel free to bend it a bit to secure the ribbon connection.
