Surprisingly good in notebooks and notepads
I have to say I've tried a lot of sketchbooks and this one certainly crosses out most of my t. It's budget. It holds markers much better than I expected. Great for dry environments and not bad for wet environments. Gouache works well. Pages curl on wet media, but for a sketchbook I think this is a pretty solid buy for the price. I will buy again.
