Review on Efficient Green Expert 203618 1/4HP Submersible Utility Pump: High Flow 1600GPH for Quick Water Removal, Ideal for Household Drainage & Garden Use - 25ft Long Cord & Easy Installation by Bill Lacy

I bought this pump (without the float switch) to drain my 900 gallon hot tub when I need to clean it regularly. I've used it twice and I'm very impressed. Here are some details about my experience: ZEIT: When I first used it, it lasted almost an hour. I used a 100ft 1/2" hose. The second time around the spa drained in about 35 minutes using a 25ft 5/8" hose. Obviously the length of the hose affects the drain time. Thanks physics! QUALITY THE MATERIALS: Almost all plastic on the outside. Haven't had any issues with it as long as it works. Still feeling strong. NOISE LEVEL: Pretty damn low. It's out there, but still not that visible. FINAL WATER LEVEL: Very low. Obviously, it won't getting every drop. It will leave about 1/2" of water or less, but that's fine. At this stage I can still use a wet/dry shop vac to remove any debris from the floor. Very happy with the end result. too this factor WATER FLOW: somehow related to the time but it's good Watch the video to get a visual idea of the approximate speed OTHER THOUGHTS: I'm glad that Power cord is 25 feet long. I didn't have to use an extension cord at all. Both garden hoses (1/2" and 5/8") fit on the same hose adapter that is included. No problem. Just don't over tighten the connection as this will tear the plastic. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. Great product for the price. As long as it lasts when used every 2-3 months I'm very satisfied. 5/5 stars.
