I have 100 year old closet doors that need refinishing and my mouse sander died on me so I tested out this orbital sander. This is my first time using an orbital sander so I don’t have the experience to compare to others. The sander is pretty ergonomic even for my small hands and the handle portion is a silicone material that makes it easier to handle. There is a dial for speed control, it is quite aggressive at top speed. It comes with a hose attachment that can hook up to shop vac, which is what I did. The dust collection bag is nice but there is still a bit of dust whilst using it, so shop vac is preferable. Sander comes with 18 disks with variable grits. The disks are 5 inches in diameter which is a standard size. After testing my paint for lead, I went to work. With a little elbow grease this sander did a great job for the bulk of the door. Obviously not great for detail work but awesome for majority of flat surfaces.
