Let me start by saying that you will save a lot of money without spending a lot of time by learning how to do simple repairs and maintenance on your car. I have no formal training in mechanics. I just search a lot on google and youtube. From there it's just trial and error. I bought this ACDelco oxygen sensor to replace a front sensor that blew on my 2002 Chevy Cavalier. Between this and the outlet adapter I bought, I spent about $55 and 10 minutes of my time changing it. Since then everything is fine. The previous sensor in my Cavalier was installed by a local mechanic about 4 years ago (when I didn't know how to take care of it myself). I was charged $145 for the EXACT same sensor (same make and model) and then another $60 for an hour of use. I'm all for small businesses that make a profit, but I was amazed to learn how little time and money it really takes to do this job. Lesson learned.
