Plugged in and it worked. It didn't surprise me, but it's good when something works. I've had it plugged in for a few weeks now and it's still working. I hope he keeps working for a long time. The only downside is that the LEDs that show if it's connected to the left or right computer aren't visible, except in the top right. You can see it for yourself in the picture. The blue LED on the left is on, but the blue LED on the right is off. If you zoom in you can see it, but it's not visible to the naked eye and from a reasonable distance. Too bad because my laptop uses multiple USB devices (Blu-ray burner and flatbed scanner). When I turn off my laptop, the switch automatically switches to my desktop, which is what you wanted. When I plug my laptop back in, I have to press a button to switch back to the laptop, which is fine, but it would be nice if I could immediately see which way it's switching, and for that I have to stand up and look at the device to see the light. It's not a bar for show and maybe a much-needed exercise, but it's a design flaw in my opinion. For that reason alone I gave it 4 starts instead of 5. Get yours!
