It is very bright and has a knob to adjust the amount of light. I've used it a number of times from working on my garden tractor and dozer blade to improve the lighting to working on the transfer case under my truck. I would like to see a version with a better swivel base and also the ability to fold the LED section forward or backward to make it more useful. The battery came fully charged and I used it for about 2 hours starting just before Christmas mid December and it is only now showing that it is half charged. I don't always use it at full brightness, usually around half brightness, as full brightness is way too high for what I'm doing and can cause a lot of reflections from things visible. I bought it as it was only a few dollars more for 2nd place compared to other listings. I kept 1 for myself and gave the other to my stepfather as he always says he needs a portable work lamp especially when we were going to fix my brother's water heater which is in the basement where the light is in the middle of the room 20x20 and rear. us where we end up blocking the light to work on the water heater.
