Review on OXO Good Grips Strainer Stopper by Dana Schmidt

I have an OXO sink strainer that doesn't work as a stopper. I love it. I bought this for the other half of my sink thinking it would be just as great. But that's not the case. The stopper handle takes up quite a bit of space, which means there are fewer holes for water to drain. The coating on the underside prevents further water flow and makes thorough cleaning of the holes almost impossible. This means that it clogs very easily and is not easy to clean properly. I always empty my dishes in the trash can before they go in the sink so I don't get a lot of trash down the drain. My old OXO sink strainer gets clogged after washing a particularly dirty pot. This one clogs every time I wash a few dishes. Also, the stopper knob sometimes rotates itself to the stopper position, causing further sinkback. All in all, I wouldn't buy these again. The original OXO purge filter is great, this one is not so good.
