This 5800DW is my 5th Brother MFC in the last 10 years (we print, copy and scan a lot of documents). It only took 3 minutes to install after I took it out of the box. So far we have been using this device for 2 months and the print quality, scan quality and the ability to print/scan from a smartphone. . everything is very good (just like previous devices). Genuine Brother toner replacements are a little pricey but I think that's how they make a profit. I've found that after many years (and many units) owners will surely want to cut costs, so they will use cheaper toner and drum units. . . but then the quality of the prints also starts to deteriorate. In any case, this is an economic reality. In my experience, the MFC usually works well for about 2 years of heavy use (I mean 10,000 - 13,000 prints and copies per month). It will then show signs of wear and tear making it time to replace it with a newer model (since repairing it will cost a lot more in parts and labor). Let's see how long this ban lasts ;-)
