Works with regular pencils but not mechanical pencils
I was initially quite happy with this product but I used sharpened old fashioned pencils. When I used .07 and .05 mechanical pencils, I found that they would pierce the paper in the middle of my strokes or at the beginning of a new line. Drawing details was a nightmare. My eraser doesn't seem to work well with the texture of this paper and doesn't erase it like other sketchbooks do. If you're using traditional materials and non-mechanical pencils, this is good crisp white paper. It has a little tooth, it's not entirely smooth, but it doesn't smudge on positive notes.
