Review on πŸ’Ώ Portable 6X Blu-ray Burner External Drive Bundle with 100GB M-DISC BDXL and USB Cable - Pioneer BDR-XD07S by Larry Cho

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works as it should. 100GB drives are expensive. Be patient when writing files.

Tried this product based on other reviews. I had to archive emails and downloads to hard drive (I couldn't use a USB stick which would be much faster, cheaper and easier overall). In preparation for re-imaging the laptop, I needed to free up space on my hard drive. The DVDs were too small for more than 200GB email. I had some problems writing to the disc that came with the device, I couldn't burn it. I had to buy more hard drives to fully test it. BD-R (Blue Ray Disc) discs are expensive ($41 for a pack of 10). Writing files takes some time (25-30 minutes), so please be patient. Note. You won't get the full 100GB of storage, there is an overhead, I believe the best you can get is around 90-93GB. I had to split the PST files into chunks (I used 7-Zip). Everything seems to be working as expected. I like portability and design. I deducted a star for an issue with the included 100GB drive that ended up costing me more dollars to complete my project.
