The glass bulb had detached from the metal part at the bottom of the lantern, rendering it completely unusable. Switched on style
I use these bulbs for 3 point lighting and they burn very bright and very hot. I've found them to add a more yellowish hue to anything they light up, but are fairly durable. I'm only giving this review 4 stars out of 5 because when I decided to put the bulb in the fixture, the glass bulb broke off the metal part at the bottom of the fixture rendering it completely unusable. It was still on, but to avoid an electrical fire I just threw the bulb away. However, I must say that I have been looking for these lamps and this seller is offering the best price for this item.
