Review on 🚪 Black Tail Gate Door Handle for Chevy Avalanche 1500 and 2500 (02-06) | Part Numbers: 15086873, 19209650 by Girish Underwood

Bought to replace the tailgate handle on my 04 Avalanche after it broke this winter. As many other reviewers have noted, the rod clamps that come with this handle simply do NOT hold the rods to pull the latches and open the tailgate. I ended up removing the clips from my original factory grip and putting them on this replacement. So far it seems to be working fine, but it's only been a few weeks. It also seems to me that this button sticks out a bit further than the original, not that big of a difference or difference, just something I noticed. Installation is fairly easy as long as you have a tool to cut a 3" x 3" piece of plastic from the plastic material of the tailgate body. You can't see it under the black border. I didn't like the idea of crashing into my truck, but since it's not visible during normal operation, I don't mind. Hope it lasts a good few years.
