Review on ACDelco D577 Original Equipment Ignition by Drexel Wortham

I finally decided it was time to install a new coil in my 1996 Chevy Impala SS as I don't think the original has been touched since birth and I thought so had I too ICM do why not kill 2 birds with one stone and replace both? So I ordered this new Delco AC ignition coil and as always the delivery was quick and on time. I then removed the old coil and they both look exactly the same. Now that the new spool doesn't come with a bracket I had to reuse the old one and to do this I clamped the spool and drilled out two rivets with a 1/8 bit bit. (Make sure to wear gloves because metal shavings like to splinter - tell me how I know!) It still wouldn't budge after drilling, so I grabbed a hammer and tapped the spool lightly until it snapped eventually resolved into freedom. I screwed in new nuts and bolts (included) and then the installation began. Now everything looks great! Now I can ride with peace of mind and being an AC Delco brand I can assure you it will last for many years to come! Zero problems with the spool. If you stick to a good brand, a good brand stays with you. Very satisfied!
