Review on Cobra XRS9370 High Performance 360 Degree Protection by Tony Wilson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Three years later.

Works great until you stop hearing detection signals due to the hundreds of false alarms you get each time. 1 correct reading. If you're a big speeder, after buying this thing and trusting it for a week, you won't. Great for weaning yourself off pace, but good at best when it comes to actual readings. Just hope your local police, sheriffs, and state troopers don't master their use and start spotting people almost exclusively with lasers. Yes, this thing CAN detect lasers when pointed directly at the device, but by the time that thing hurts you with its heart attack-inducing laser detection siren, the officer has already received accurate data on your speed and has started tracking you. I'm just glad I had a good lawyer. That being said, I've been saved by the ticket gods once or twice because of this. Some cops keep their radars on all the time so they can be spotted early. This thing works best in rural areas with lazy cops who won't get out of their cars to use their fancy laser guns. Motorbike cops will be your worst enemies (because they prefer lasers and only fire radar when necessary). Pros: may actually detect the radar before using it against you. Keeps you on your toes for a long time while driving. Turn off voice mode (because you're sick of it) Legal in most states CONS: Useless against laser cannons. Useless in cities with more interference than you're willing to endure. Eventually, it just becomes the sound your car makes in your head. To be honest I still use mine. I've had it for three years now and I don't feel good driving without it. Useless in cities with more interference than you're willing to endure. Pros
  • Ultra-fast scan circuitry provides extra detection range and the best early warning for even the fastest radar guns
Cons
  • Blanking
