Review on 2KW MYSWEETY Variable Frequency Drive Converter VFD by John Brazington

Revainrating 5 out of 5

VFD Inverter

I bought this VFD to run my wood lathe. My lathe's adjustable belt drive was always slipping, and a couple of times a year I needed a new belt. When the single-phase motor burned out, I decided to switch to a 1-hp three-phase motor. with a B series fixed ratio V-belt and add a variable frequency drive to drive it. This VFD worked great out of the box with the default settings. The functions were easy to program, however I chose to leave the default settings except for the maximum frequency which I set to 75Hz to increase the spindle speed to around 2100rpm. The spindle speed now ranges from a minimum of 100 rpm to a maximum of 2100 rpm. I've played at higher frequencies for higher maximum spindle speeds, but I just don't need them. The descent and ascent speed is excellent. The reverse button also works great, especially when sanding a part. The drive transmits a lot of torque to the spindle at any speed. I love this setup so much I'm considering replacing some of my other machines.
