VFD Inverter

I bought this VFD to run my wood lathe. My lathe's adjustable belt drive was always slipping, and a couple of times a year I needed a new belt. When the single-phase motor burned out, I decided to switch to a 1-hp three-phase motor. with a B series fixed ratio V-belt and add a variable frequency drive to drive it. This VFD worked great out of the box with the default settings. The functions were easy to program, however I chose to leave the default settings except for the maximum frequency…

Worthy product and good customer service

I bought this VFD for a 2" x 72" belt sander I was building. First I bought a frequency converter and a motor. When it came time to connect the motor to the VFD and turn it on, it ran for about 90 seconds and then literally exploded (see photo). I logged into my Revain account and the refund period has expired. I contacted the company that sold the VFD and they were kind enough to send me a new VFD control board. Great price and support after purchase.

I am using this VFD on a 3HP/3 phase 60Hz/230V motor. I wired it up (easy). I skimmed through the included instructions, but they're pretty self-explanatory. Two hot feet in and out. Three exits and one common. Unit turned on and the potentiometer turns it from stop to factory setting 50Hz. Perfect up and down.
