Review on 🧽 Briwax Ultra-Fine Steel Wool 0000 for Oil-Free Surface Treatment by Jay Swearengin

The Best of the Best in Abrasives and Finishes

I learned a while ago that steel wool is not just steel wool. Of course, if you shop at the big stores you'll only find lower quality briquette-like steel wool that breaks easily, leaving splinters in your hands and sometimes scratching wood, even at 4x0. I discovered Briwax steel wool rolls and will never go back to the cheap look. You cut off pieces from the roll (when breaking, the fibers are also broken, so scissors are needed). It leaves no fragments and does an excellent job on the second task. I also use it to soften the look of an overly shiny finish. This is the only way if you are serious about woodworking.
