I bleach my hair blonde, and I was finding my color getting dull VERY quickly-- like, after only two washes. I live in Los Angeles, and the tap water is pretty terrible. My stylist said my hair didn't look discolored due to toner falling out, but that it looked like mineral deposit. I bought this filter, got my hair done again, and after two weeks I can say this has changed not only my hair, but also my skin.If you think about it. if you're using a Brita or any kind of filter for water going inside your body, you should also filter all water going on your body. My color is fresh, 'my natural wavy texture has returned, and some general itchiness and dry skin that I have suffered from recently has also been relieved.This is a great value, I chose it based on value for money, and I think it was a great choice. The only thing left to see is how long the filter will last before needing to be replaced. Seeing as the water here is terrible, I've already accepted that I'll be replacing my filter probably more than most people will.Looks like chrome, matches any chrome shower head or fixture, and although I think it's plastic, it doesn't feel cheap. It seems sturdy.So far so good. If you're looking for an affordable and effective shower filter, I can vouch for this one!
