The name is a bit boring. This is not a ¼" NPT to 1/8" hose fitting. This fitting was never intended to be used with an o-ring or nylon strap. This is 5/16 female airbrush adapter and 1/8 female airbrush adapter. To connect this fitting to an existing compressor you will need a 5/16 male pipe fitting and ¼” NPT fitting, which are available at most hardware stores. I bought mine at my local ACE hardware store for less than $4. If you are using a quick disconnect on your compressor, add a ¼ NPT female connector with the correct end for the quick disconnect.
