I used them for curtains for anyone who wants to use them for this purpose here are my thoughts. based on other reviews. YES, they stink and are chewy. You have to wash them, then they will be soft and beautiful. YES, some of the stitching unraveled, but none of the stitching stood out and I was able to trim the loose thread straight. NO, they are not all the same. the size. Some are a little longer. I must have gotten two longer and two shorter. However, I was able to play around with them to make them the same size by adjusting the fold length. You can't even tell. If you drape yours on the floor, you really can't tell. I don't like this look so I've been playing around with mine and am very happy with them. The Home Depot towels you should buy in popular textbooks have changed manufacturers and now have center seams. After buying and returning two sets of these, I decided to go to Amazon and take a chance. Despite the mixed reviews for these towels, I still recommend them. They lie very nicely. Not too heavy and not too light. The color is excellent. I'll probably try to bleach them at some point, but for now I like them!
