I started taking L-Carnitine to improve my athletic performance. I was doing high-intensity interval training five times a week and needed a natural supplement to boost my energy. I'm not a fan of pre-workout formulas because they usually have too many chemicals, so L-Carnitine has proven to be a great substitute. I took it about 20 minutes before my workout to give my body time to absorb it and I could see the benefits not only in my performance but in not feeling burned out after the workout. The taste is very sour, but that doesn't bother me. You can mix it with something else and it will soften its flavor. My only criticism is that the scoop is so small it was hard to find. I will continue to use this amino acid for my athletic performance.
